Purpose
To define the Standard Procedures and Guidelines that govern and promote the efficient use of the Digital Learning Platform (DLP) or Offline channel of Ed Skills Mumbai, ensuring compliance with the policies of Ed Skills Mumbai.
Definitions
The following definitions apply to terms as used in this document:
- “Digital Learning Platform (DLP) OR Offline”: A flexible, web-based program for teaching and learning used as a delivery mechanism for online and blended courses.
- “Website”: The website edskill.com, including all sub-domains and others added in the future.
- “Course Content”: All educational materials provided to the participant, including videos, instructor-led sessions, presentations, documents, books, assignments, tests, quizzes, exams, lab sessions, etc.
- “Users”: Any person with login credentials to the Digital Learning Platform OR any other offline portals and platforms.
Applicability
These Standard Processes and Guidelines apply to all Users of the DLP.
Rights and Obligations of the User
- Prohibited Actions:
Users are expressly prohibited from:- Copying, reproducing, republishing, transferring, storing, processing, transmitting, distributing, selling, downloading, translating, or modifying course content in any form.
- Communicating, disseminating, or using the course content for commercial or any other purposes, either in part or in summary form.
- Engaging in any unlawful, inappropriate, or abusive use of the platform and services, as defined by applicable laws, or violating the intellectual property rights of ED Skills.
- Website Use:
Users must not:- Perform any action on the DLP or its sub-domains that may damage, alter, or hinder the functioning of the platform.
- Introduce elements that could carry computer viruses or otherwise interfere with the website or the property of others.
- Use the website for business, advertising, self-promotion, or third-party promotion without the explicit written permission of CAPL.
- Account Security:
Users are solely responsible for the security of their username and password. Login information is individual and non-transferable. If an account is compromised, lost, or stolen, the user must contact Ed Skills Mumbai immediately to initiate the necessary security measures.
- Restricted Content Sharing:
Users must not share any “solutions” to the “challenges” or tasks within the platform with others.
- Liability for Expenses and Damages:
Users are liable for any costs or damages incurred due to inappropriate use or non-compliance with these terms and conditions.
- Website Scanning:
Users must not perform any scans on the website.
Intellectual Property
All content on the DLP OR Offline material, including text, graphics, logos, videos, software, and any other materials, is subject to copyright, and belongs exclusively to Ed Skills Mumbai or its content providers. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of the content is strictly prohibited.
Any third-party trademarks, product names, or company logos that appear on the DLP are the property of their respective owners and are within their scope of responsibility.
